I finally get to use Deviantart again!

Something I've done a couple of months ago... I was re-re-re--re-re-re-re-(...)reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and since the book always fills me up with such a warmth (the Harry Potter fans of you will probably understand what I mean) I decided to make a little Hogwarts-painting. It's based on the scene in which the Year One students first see the castle, the moment in which they're looking up to the big building overhead.

If you look closely you can see that it has slightly abstract elements to it, but yeah...

Brilliant! What kind of canvas/paper did you use?

Thank you very much! I did this into my Moleskine notebook (the sketch book one, it has thicker paper than the other ones) although I wouldn't really recommend this paper for anything else than pencils. From what I "experienced" when doing this painting is that the colors bleed through very quickly and the paper gets wavy and kinda "rough".
